Son of the Sun: The first wife of Pandu had a secret. In her past she was given a mantra that would summon any god she wanted, However, it not only summoned a god but it summoned a god to bare her a child. She only learned this by saying the mantra, which gave her a son by the sun god. She was unmarried so she sent the baby away, telling no one.
Pandu's Curse: Pandu shot a deer in the words, however this deer was actually a hermit and this hermit was making love. This hermit cursed Pandu and told him he could not touch a woman ever again or he would die, because he had killed the hermit in a intimate moment. However because of his wife's mantra she would be able to haave his children with any god of his choosing.
The Sons of Pandu:
The god of truth: Yudhishthir
The god of the Wind: Bhima
Indra king of the gods: Arjuna
Ashwin twins: twins- Nakula and Sahadeva
Sons of Dhritarashtra: Gandhari had been pregnant, however when she gave birth it was not a baby, it was a ball of flesh. She was then told to bury the flesh, out of which grew 100 sons and 1 daughter. The 100 sons were almost demonic but because both Dhritarashtra and Gandhari were unable to see they did not notice.
Rivalry: The sons of Pandu and Dhritarashtra did not get along. The eldest son, Duryodhan, had the most hatred for Pandavas. He tried to trick by drugging the Pandavas and drowning Bhima.
Bhima Under Water: While drowning the snakes of the lake began to bite him, this woke Bhima and Bhima killed the snakes. after killing the snakes he found an underwater world, he then met a relative who gifted him strength in the form of a potion.
Drona: The pandavas would need a teacher, this teacher would be Drona. Drona would teach the princes how to be warriors so they can protect the kingdom as adults.
Drona and the Pandavas: Drona was intrigued by the abilities of his students especially the sons of Pandu. Drona would later use his students to seek vengence against his enemies.
Ekalavya: The Pandavas came across an archer named Ekalavya who had more abilities than Arjuna, This angered the Pandavas so they then asked who his teacher was. He said his teacher was Drona, this angered Arjuna even more. He returned to palace demanding an explanation, but Drona was confused. Drona then sought Ekalavya for answers. Ekalavya explained that he had asked Drona to be his teacher and he had declined, this did not stop him however, instead he built a statue of Drona and treated it as his teacher. Drona demanded Ekalavya cut off his thumb so Arjuna could resume being the best archer.
